COMMITMENT TO JUSTICE & MERCY
COMMITMENT TO JUSTICE & MERCY
Our Denomination
The Evangelical Covenant Church takes seriously our call to practice solidarity with all who are vulnerable, marginalized, and oppressed as our biblical witness calls us to do, while paying special attention to the anti-black racism that has created recent increased trauma and injustice in our nation.
We pledge to support the dismantling of systemic oppression and racism in our communities through listening, prayer, and action. We must continue this work. It is our foremost desire to link arms with our brothers and sisters in order to reflect how precious each person is in God’s sight, and we trust Jesus Christ to guide us as we seek to humbly listen and respond.

At LifeSpring
Our commitment to Justice & Mercy leads us to regularly cultivate space for the LifeSpring family to learn and pray about injustice and racial inequality so that we are better prepared to listen to the Holy Spirit on how to bring the Kingdom of God into our hearts and world.
In addition, the second Friday Newsletter of the month is dedicated to Justice & Mercy topics.

Whether these themes are brand new to you or you’ve been exploring them for years, this group is for you! This experience is cohort style with materials to engage in preparation for each meeting. Interested? E-mail Pastor Elyse to find out when the next cohort will launch & to get your name on the interest list.
