School Supply Drive
July
Throughout July we’ll hold our annual School Supply Drive for Sarah Milner. We have a tradition of stuffing backpacks full of supplies and the school gifts these out for free to any student who needs one.
Grief Literacy Seminar
July 17
Join us 6:30-8:30pm in crew252 for this second seminar in our Mental Health series. This month focuses on Grief Literacy, with Sarah Saltee of 3Hopeful Hearts. What do you say when there's nothing you can say? Grief touches every life, but many of us feel unsure about how to support someone who is going through something hard. This engaging session will provide practical tools to better understand grief, offer meaningful support, and recognize signs of compassion fatigue in yourself and others. Whether you're supporting a family member, friend, community member, or colleague, this training will help you show up with confidence, empathy, and care.
Songs & Sundaes
July 20
We’ll come together for an evening of worship, hanging out, and ice cream. Come 6:00-7:30. You bring your singing voice and we’ll provide everything needed for a sweet sundae treat! We're going to be singing our way through the decades of worship music.
Songs & Sundaes
July 27
Join us 8:30 to noon as we head next door to help Sarah Milner Elementary prepare their building for a new school year! We’ll be doing landscaping work around the building; bring a hat and gloves and any gardening materials you may have.
What is Trauma & Why Should the Church Care? Seminar
August 21
Join us 6:30-8:30pm in crew252 for this final seminar in our Mental Health summer series. This month we ask What is Trauma & Why Should the Church Care? with Project 1.27. The term “trauma” has been widely used, especially in the wake of the global pandemic. But what does it mean? And what kind of effect can it have on a child’s brain and behavior? This session will help you understand what children might be going through and give you 16 strategies to support and connect with them in a way their brains and bodies can receive it.
Good Ol' Church Picnic
August 24
After service, we'll head over to Loch Lon park. We'll grill up hotdogs and enjoy a good ol' church picnic all together! Bring blankets or camp chairs.
Carnival on the Corner
September 28
Save the date! We can’t wait to partner with Sarah Milner Elementary next door to throw a party for the neighborhood.
Youth Calendar
Students in grades 6-12 are invited to all kinds of fun and fellowship this summer!
