Women's Spring Event
- All Things New -
Saturday, May 9 | 9:30-12:30
Spring brings with it fresh opportunities to see new life sprouting forth. These reminders in nature can nudge us towards rejuvenated faith in the God who is in the business of making all things new.
Come and join other women from LifeSpring for a casual morning of fellowship, engagement with scripture and spiritual practices. We’ll enjoy brunch together and you can choose to attend two of three breakouts:
Journaling as Soul Care
Facilitated by Brenda Thornburg
Journaling is a way of talking to God that’s honest, personal and safe. Connect with God on a deeper level by finding new ways to express your thoughts, feelings, thanksgiving, and lament. Whether you are a seasoned journaler or you find journaling to be a challenge — this breakout is for you.
New Creation in the Garden & a Case of Not-So-Mistaken Identity
Facilitated by Lacey Sharpe
When Mary Magdalene first saw the risen Jesus, she thought he was the gardener ... Perhaps she was onto something. Let's spend some time together discussing and reflecting on the new creation story of John 20 and what it means for us today.
Prayer Walk through our Neighborhood
Facilitated by Elisabeth Olson
Spring is a time of new growth. We will walk through our neighborhood, prayerfully discerning ways God is moving, creating, and growing in our neighborhood (think "life") as well as obstacles to His work (think "spiritual weeds"). We want to "stand in the gap," praying for our neighbors — the homes, businesses, schools, etc — asking for repentance, healing and blessing for our neighborhood and praying against anything, anyone, or any force that opposes what is Good. No prayer experience necessary!
Saturday, May 9th from 9:30am-12:30pm
No cost, optional contribution to the potluck style brunch
Childcare provided
Sign up using the button below or in the Connecting Center on 4/19, 4/26 or 5/3.
