High Peak Camp is at the foot of Longs Peak – along Hwy 7, 8 miles south of Estes.

FROM LOVELAND (about an hour):

• Hwy 34 WEST to Estes Park

• Turn left (SOUTH) on St. Vrain (Hwy 36) – ½ mile 

• Bear RIGHT on South St. Vrain (Hwy 7) – 8 miles to Preservation Dr. 

* Past MILE MARKER 8 (but before 9), turn right (WEST) onto Preservation Dr. (look for High Peak brown sign with The Salvation Army logo and balloons or marker signs from LifeSpring) and follow the drive into the camp.

FROM LONGMONT (just under an hour):

• Hwy 66 WEST toward Lyons

• At Lyons, turn left (SOUTH) on Hwy 7 toward Allenspark – 24.5 miles

* Past MILE MARKER 9 (but before 8), turn left (WEST) onto Preservation Dr. (look for High Peak brown sign with The Salvation Army logo and balloons or marker signs from

LifeSpring) and follow the drive into the camp.

Facing south on Hwy 7. Enter west onto Preservation Dr.

Check-in is from 3-6pm on Friday. Check-out of sleeping rooms on Saturday is by 5pm.

There is parking is available in close proximity to dining, meeting and sleeping rooms and there are several smaller parking areas to choose. If you have a friend going at the same time, we do encourage carpooling. When driving and parking, we need to stick to the marked areas to protect the grounds and vegetation. Parking areas and roads around the camp are dirt.

There are great paths between buildings that are easy to access with a mix of concrete sidewalks, stone paths and crushed rock. It is approximately 280 yards from The Lodge (sleeping) to Dining Hall which is where our breakfast and lunch are on Saturday as well as our sessions. The Mill houses the coffee shop and it is approximately 200 yards from either The Lodge and Dining Hall.

• Friday evening dinner and games will be in The Lodge where we will also be sleeping. 
• The Mill Coffee shop will be open from 9-10 am and 1-3 pm Saturday.

Yes there is handicap access to our primary locations (dining hall, meeting and sleeping); however, there are some areas of the camp that are more challenging.

In addition to black bears, this is well known elk area and it will be rutting season. Should the elk be present be sure to give them space and be ready to possibly hear the beautiful bugling this time of year! In addition, deer, moose, turkeys, may be present as well as chipmunks, squirrels, lots of birds among other animals. Please do not feed or approach any wildlife. 

Though there is no cell service, we will have camp WIFI/internet access when near the buildings. 

If a phone is needed for an emergency, there is a landline on site.

Yes you may extend a personal invite to a family member or friend. We are not advertising to groups or churches outside of LifeSpring. Each person attending will need to register. Any high schoolers will need to be accompanied by an adult.

High Peak Camp is owned and operated by The Salvation Army. Their purpose statement for the camp, which fits our mission as well, is in part “…to foster within each individual a deeper understanding of our relationship to God and our fellow human beings; gain an appreciation and respect for God’s creation.”  highpeaktsa.org

Payment in full is due to LifeSpring Church by Sept. 16 and the preference is check, cash or Venmo.

If you choose to pay online via credit card, it’s helpful if you will choose to pay the bank fee and check the box to do so.

We do have partial scholarships available. Please complete this form.

For overnight, you will need to bring your toiletries. Linens and towels are provided as well as one hair dryer per bathrom.

For Saturday, suggestions of what to bring include: Bible, notebook, journal, pen, (& camera).

The elevation is just over 9,000 ft. In October, expect the air to be crisp and the weather can change quickly. Wearing layers is highly recommended along with comfortable clothing and shoes best for mountain walks. We expect casual attire such as jeans, hoodies, walking shoes, etc.

There are places to relax and enjoy indoors as well as many seating options in the very scenic outdoors looking up at Longs Peak and other peaks – next to the ponds or the stream running throughout the property or on one of the porches or even along the trails, listening to the water and  breeze blowing through the trees.

Sleeping rooms generally have one queen bed and two twin beds. High Peak’s policy is a max of three people per room. Each sleeping room has one bathroom with a sink, a toilet and shower. The shared room rate is the same per person, whether there are two or three people in a room.

Yes, but food can only be kept in kitchen areas due to the presence of black bears. Food can be taken out of a kitchen to a lobby or meeting room, but then returned to the kitchen. Food cannot be in sleeping rooms or left in any room outside a kitchen. There is a kitchen in The Lodge where we will be sleeping. And do not leave food in your cars.

The Mill Coffee shop will be open from 9-10am and 1-3pm on Saturday.

Refunds are not available after Sept. 16, but like-for-like registrations can be transferred to another lady.

This is determined on a case-by-case basis by High Peak. Should we have to cancel rather than re-schedule, refunds will be available.

1. The use of tobacco and tobacco-related products is prohibited except in designated areas. A $250 cleaning fee will be incurred per incident if this standard is violated. 

2. Weapons, fireworks, alcohol, drugs, or drug paraphernalia are not allowed on Camp. 

3. Due to the presence of black bears and other wildlife, food is not allowed in the dorms or any other building without a kitchen. 

4. Please respect High Peak property and trails signs. 

5. Please do not throw rocks or other objects into the ponds/streams. 

6. The burning of incense or candles is strictly prohibited both indoors and outdoors. 

7. Pets are not permitted in any High Peak Camp and Conference Center facility. 

8. Hunting of any type is not permitted on the camp property. 

9. Firearms, or weapons of any type, are strictly prohibited. 

10. The camp speed limit is 15 mph. 

11. Parking: please observe parking area signs and no parking fire lanes.
